The Diocese of Keta-Akatsi was created in the year 1994 under the able leadership of Most Rev. A.K. Lodonu, who was the then Bishop of Keta-Ho Diocese. Bishop Adanuty became the first appointed Bishop of the Diocese until his canonical resignation in 2015.

During his episcopacy, Bishop Adanuty realized the need to build a Diocesan Secretariat which will enable the smooth administration of the Diocese. Thus in 2002, the secretariat of the Diocese was moved from the Christ the King Cathedral Church, Akatsi to the present day location. The Secretariat is located at TORVE, a suburb of Akatsi off the main road towards Abor or Aflao.

The following offices can easily be located within the edifice. The office of the Bishop, the office of the Vicar General, the office of the Bishop’s secretary, the Financial Administrator and Accountant, the development office, youth office, Diocesan Health Directorate, Council of Women’s office and office of the the Department of Social Communication.
