On November 3rd 2020, the Keta-Akatsi Diocese held a solemn memorial mass for all priest and religious who have ever worked in the Diocese for the past twenty-five years or more. This celebration took place in the Christ the King Cathedral Parish at Akatsi.
The main celebrant was the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD. All diocesan priests were in attendance as well as religious missionaries who are working in the Diocese, Comboni, Servants of Charity, and Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church (SMMC). Some family members and friends of these deceased priests and religious were also present.
The solemn mass ended at the Diocesan cemetery for priest where prayers were offered, candles lighted on their tombs, holy water sprinkled on the and wreathes were laid. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace.
